We love the lotus and you will see it featured throughout this website. We chose the lotus as our logo because many cultures revere the lotus and use it to symbolize purity, growth, simplicity and perseverance. This is because the lotus must struggle through deep mud and weeds to grow, bloom and eventually develop into a beautiful water lily. This growth process is much like the journey of grief -- grievers usually end up wading through deep layers of emotional and physical pain before they can be transformed into a person who continues to live but in a different way than before. The lotus blooms in many different colors and radiates resilience and purity as it floats atop the water after its long struggle.
